You have every upgrade unlocked from the start. ok, cool, so why are there also random CRDs around the career map, thus devaluing the ones with the giant icons on the map? Next problem, upgrades. First of all, you start racing in each organization with a Challenge Race Day, from which you get a car for free. Now, on paper this is passable, but there are tons of problems with the balancing and structure. Why? Cuz he's just kinda generally an asshole, and he's good at racing. Once that's done, you take on the King of each racing discipline (Grip, Drag, Drift, and Speed). There are 3 racing organizations (Battle Machine, React Team Sessions, and Super Promotion, in that order), each with a set of race days to dominate. and the Prototype of the GT-R R35? Why? This is the weirdest car list I've ever seen in NFS, with tons of glaring omissions and just as many strange inclusions. What the hell happened here? We get two Evos but one Lamborghini? Two Golfs but no modern Dodges? The GT-R R35. Even maintaining any semblance of a racing line is difficult in this game, but it feels so good to do. Cars have a stupidly satisfying amount of inertia to them, and every corner feels like a challenge to be overcome. Prostreet is difficult in all the right ways. While a few annoying voice clips may be repeated here and there (particularly during races), Prostreet really feels like you're at a car meet. From the beautiful graphics to the absolute explosion of style, Prostreet is top notch in this department.įrom the surprisingly talkative announcers to the locations to the menus, Prostreet is immersive. Don't fall for that trap.Īs with Carbon, Prostreet's presentation leaves little to be desired. The first time, I just sort of assumed Racer was normal mode. Oh, and in my last post I said I played with Racer assist mode? I went back and read what the modes actually do, realized King is the only way to play the game, and started over, playing it the right way this time.

I played the game on PC with the Multifix mod implemented. If you love Prostreet and can't stand to see it shat on, please leave. Secondly, this review is going to be highly negative. In fact, I never have, and never will, though I've played more than enough to know how I feel about it. Firstly, this is going to be a much less thorough and "professional" (for lack of a better word) review than my others, the primary reason being that I didn't beat this game. Despite this, however, I must preface this review with a couple of things.
